Dr Hazel Adamson

GDC#151953

Dr Hazel Adamson qualified from Glasgow in 2008. Having completed her first post graduate year in Aviemore, she then moved to Inverness in 2009, and bar a short hiatus to experience working in New Zealand for a year in 2011 has been here ever since. She is the most recent to join the practice, becoming a partner in 2019.

Dr Jonathan Rosie

GDC #81485

Dr Jonathan Rosie graduated from Glasgow University in 2002. A native of Ross-shire, he completed his formal training in Aboyne and has worked in the Inverness area for several years. He became a partner in Ness Bank Dental Practice early in 2010.

Dr Duncan Mcsporran

GDC #103163

Dr Duncan McSporran graduated from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 2006 and also in 2012 where he completed an additional postgraduate Masters degree. Since graduating he has worked in the Highlands and has developed interests in areas of dentistry which include Orthodontics. He joined the practice as a partner in 2016.

Shonagh Morrison

Dental Hygienist – GDC #4004

Shonagh qualified as an Enrolled Dental Hygienist from Newcastle upon Tyne Dental Hospital in 1990. After qualification she worked in General Practice in Manchester for 3 years. Shonagh joined Ness Bank in 1996 and has completed extended duties qualifications, she also holds her NVQ Dental Nurse Assessor qualification and remains up to date with current procedures and treatment by attending CPD training on a regular basis.

Kelly Patience

Dental Hygienist – GDC #136133

Kelly joined the practice in September 2019.  First registering as a Dental Nurse in 2008 Kelly then developed her skills and trained as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist at the University of the Highlands and Islands, qualifying in 2013. Since joining the practice she has built a great relationship with all the patients she treats.  Kelly had worked with us before, helping out with maternity cover, so we are absolutely delighted to have her permanently in the Ness Bank team.

Nicola Watson

Practice Manager

Nicola qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2015 at Edinburgh’s Telford College. She nursed at Ness Bank for 9 years, undergoing training such as Impression Taking and the Invisalign Foundation Programme. A committed and well respected member of the team, Nicola has been involved in the operation of the practice since 2019 and took over the Practice Manager role in March 2024 after thorough training and handover from Helen Barron.

Fiona Kennedy

Dental Nurse Manager

Fiona Kennedy has worked at Ness Bank since 1998.  A popular dental nurse with both staff and patients Fiona’s role as Dental Nurse Manager is to ensure that all aspects of infection control are monitored and maintained to comply with current legislation. Fiona is a qualified Dental Radiographer and an Assessor for the SVQ in Dental Nursing run by the local Primary Care Trust and she is also responsible for mentoring our new trainee nurses.

Colleen Hossack

Dental Nurse

Colleen joined Ness Bank in March 2017 and qualified in 2018 after undergoing her SVQ in Dental Nursing at the Centre for Health Science. Colleen has a compassionate approach and her empathetic nature provides comfort to our patients. In her free time, Colleen enjoys spending time with her young family and tending to her garden.

Linsey Macmillan

Dental Nurse

Linsey joined us in August 2017 and arrived at Ness Bank with many years of dental nurse experience. Linsey is a highly valued member of the dental team and has a reassuring professional approach.  A very talented baker, she provides the team with celebrations cakes and goodies regularly.

Dana Scott

Dental Nurse

Dana Scott joined the practice in March 2021 having qualified in 2013. Dana had taken some time out to travel in 2019, and got to experience dental nursing in New Zealand. Now more settled back home in the Highlands, Dana is passionate about providing a high level of patient care, and has a good rapport with patients and staff alike.

Molly Bruce

Dental Nurse

Molly Bruce joined Ness Bank in June 2023.  Molly came to us having nearly completed her dental nurse training and was delighted to have gained her qualification in February of 2024.  Molly has a calm and reassuring nature ensuring that our patients have a positive and comfortable experience.

Jodie Buchanan

Dental Nurse

Jodie first qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2009 having nursed in several practices locally. She brings a wealth of experience which is a valuable asset to Ness Bank Dental Practice. In Jodie’s free time, she enjoys spending time at the gym and walks with her new puppy.

Majka Wilczek

Trainee Dental Nurse

Majka joined Ness Bank in June 2024. She will be undergoing her Dental Nurse apprenticeship through Mentor Training, based in Glasgow, and will be supported by the full team at Ness Bank. Majka has a genuine passion for dentistry, bringing a positive attitude and a good sense of humour to the practice.

The Receptionist

Jemima MacLeod has been with the practice for many years, amassing vast experience within the dental reception environment

Jemima retired in April 2024 after 37 years at Ness Bank Dental.

Helen Barron

(retired March 2024) Practice Manager

Our Practice Manager, Helen Barron, has worked at Ness Bank since 2001 taking over as Manager in 2010. She is a graduate of Dundee College of Education and is one of the first managers in Scotland to complete the SVQ in Dental Practice Management.

Helen Retired in March 2024 after 23 very happy years at Ness Bank.
