On 29th September Hazel participated in something she didn’t think she would ever be capable of, her first ever marathon.
Having been a lucky winner in the ballot for places in the Berlin Marathon she joined 46962 other runners on the start line and started the 26.2 mile run. Although the weather chose to be a little on the rainy side, the bands and crowds which lined the route made the whole experience an enjoyable one and we think she’s now caught the bug as she is already planning where to enter for marathon number two. The experience of running through the famous Brandenburg Gate will be one which stays for her for a while, especially now the expected aches and pains have all settled. So if you have seen her running around Inverness over the last few months now you know why!
